Five rules for ghosts (English version)

God had created this beautiful world but due to a small glitch in his coding, ghosts evolved. But soon he realized that and put some rules for ghosts. God is still their master and so the ghosts have to follow these rules without fail.

Rule 1: Everyone knows this. Ghost can only stay until it's desire is fulfilled.

Rule 2: Every ghost needs to scare at least one human before it can go on a desire quenching mission. The more a ghost can scare, the more powerful it becomes. It has to scare at least one human and at least one human needs to know that the ghost exists.

Rule 3: Ghosts stay on earth all day but can only interfere with human life only in the nights. According to Hindu mythology, in Skandha Purana, Yudhishtar requested Narada that in order for humans to go about their daily tasks, the ghosts should not be permitted to interfere with their life during the mornings. Narada conveyed this to Lord Ganesha and he in turn asked his dad, the ruler of ghosts, Lord Siva who then passed this rule.

Rule 4: Since ghosts were also humans before they died, they look like humans. They do magic tricks and apply makeup only to scare humans. If not for those, they look like humans.
